I would like very much to give an update. If you come to this page, it will be for one of 3 reasons:
1, You are a desperate family member or friend of a Miaow addict who needs to find out how to deal with your loved one.
2, You are researching for some sort of study.
3, You consider yourself to be a 'responsible' drug taker who wants to look up the effects before taking the drug.
For the first group of people, I'm sorry but tough love is sometimes the only way to go. Luckily for us, my niece has got her life back on track again with a good job and good friends around her. She has a slip now and then, but the damage she has done to her body is irreversible. Long term, she has weakened her teeth and gums, her liver and kidneys are damaged, her periods are only just starting to get back to normal, but she has probably ruined any chance of having children. It took three months for the 'sniffing' to stop, she has to see the doctor for any type of painkiller as she has messed with the natural chemicals in her body that much that a lot of things are now dangerous to take. She still suffers with abscesses and her immune system is shot. She did things when on the drugs that she is still too horrified to admit to. But the shock of it for her is the realization that she nearly lost her family. She has started to talk about things more and we have an honest policy in the house.

"I'm taking a month off from communication with the guy I love who went back to drinking. I'm not sure if he is going back to meetings or not. He said he was but he has said that before. I feel stupid for hanging on this long and still cling to hope amidst deep grief. I want to believe what he says but his lies about everything got so bad that I don't trust anything he says. Its all about actions now. I've gotten crazy with fear, worry and obsession so trying to stick to boundaries. Its very hard. I cry a lot. God help us, this is heartbreaking to me and I miss him. I know he is sick but I must be as well to be so in love but I fell for the sober man and hate this drunk one."

I am an auntie to a Miaow addict. we are currently trying to bring her off this drug after she stole money to pay her dealer. She has been evicted from her flat for not paying rent and the fact that it is now known as a drugs den. She is ( at this moment ) asleep - hallucinating on my sofa after a 3 day binge. for the people who think this drug is fun and safe, think again. after the first 2-3 uses, you get a permanent hole in your nose and will have to live with a permanent sniffle, The drug comes out of your system via sweat that smells of cat urine, you make no sense to anyone but other users, you will lie, cheat and steal the money needed to get more of this drug....and you Will want more, You will destroy every relationship that you have and the damage to your body is awful. My niece has been taking this drug for about 5 months but it has gotten really bad the last 3 months. 2 weeks ago she turned up after an 8 day session, she was having palpitations, sweating, shaking and couldn't feel her legs so she was pulling herself along the floor. I don't know what to do with her now, her face is swollen from an abscess that has grown in her cheek so we will be attending the doctors tomorrow, I can't get my head around the amount of money that she owes out. Please do not take this drug! As for the experiment to see affects? Just look around the younger generation and ask them about their experiences as my two younger nieces are disgusted by their sister.
